Can't be run with a palm at all eh? Guess I too will buy an el cheapo laptop for it. I'm going to need this for my 97 anyways...least I won't have to change out ECU's now.

Thank you for addressing my questions about the SRS light, but please elaborate on why this unit is superior over the HHH. I am trying to compare both, but as I stated earlier, I am new to logging and such, so forgive the ignorance.

The MUT is a mitsubishi diagnostic tool that does it all (SRS) See knock counts etc. whilst, the HHH is an actual datalogger, although OBDII functions are limited. Im really excited about this, as soon as I get a few bucks from my tax return, Ill post some more about logging with the 99! ![]()

Well HHH state they can display and clear error codes too. I Just bought it because I felt It was more specialized to the 3S than the Evoscan which targets generally all Mitsubishi vehicles with MUT II / III able port.
But I just might spend the extra $25 for the Evoscan depending on my experiences with HHH. The map tracer feature might come in handy if I should ever go aftermarket or piggy back ECU. |

OBD-IIs on the other hand have limited options. The OBD-II version of HHH has a very slow data sampling rate and AFIK doesn't log knock so it's pretty useless on an OBD-II. Evoscan has a decent data sampling rate and logs knock. Plus it can log boost, EGT and Wideband AFR since it offers the option to integrate Innovate or Zeitronix products. For us OBD-II owners, Evoscan is a blessing. Reda/ |

I believe the SRS codes are stored on the SRS control unit, not the ECU. Quote:

Also, I haven't used my HHH (hybrid) logger recently, but I thought that the software allowed several additional external fields. Of course, the question is how do you configure your laptop to accept these signals. Its not like the ECU or the logger cable have ports for external sensors. If this feature is useable in the software, it would require a hardware component to measure the voltage. Perhaps a custom serial cable can be made??? |

At this moment the EVOscan doesn't clear DTC's, got some error when i tried this. Not worried as I'm sure he's working on it.
Funny but while sitting at a traffic light waiting to turn so I can get my car inspected my check engine light comes on damn P505 code) So I quickly connect my other logger and clear the code and then pull into the inspection station and get the car emission inspected. PASSED........lol

I have a question, has anyone got the Boost to read correctly? If so, how did you do it?
It seems Boost is always reading ~3-4x what I'm actually boosting.
