I used needle nose pliers and gently worked on each side for a while... came out 99% unscathed

Well I tried this mod this afternoon just for kicks to see if it worked for me. So far....it is AWESOME! It has only been one night, and that being one of tuning, so I will not give it the full thumbs up just yet, but it looks like it is on the right track. I tuned the car tonight when it was about 75-80 degrees ambient. Intake temps were 107-110. Boost @ 15.5psi. No knock and front EGT @ 890*C

Driveability is just the same as it was. It was easy to get the system in closed loop by feel, sound, and o2 readings. I didn't pay much attention to the fuel trims cause they weren't changing fast enough and it was pissing me off, so I just used the ARM-1 instead. Easy easy.

My correction factors didn't change much, except at 1k where they went in to the "+" category. I had to richen things up by maybe 3%-5% for both HI and LO. The timing did NOT retard what so ever, although it was never a problem in the first place. STill 31*-32* at WOT (not sure if it is really 21*-22* and TMO is reading 10* higher, can someone verify this?) . I did notice a decent power gain, but the spool time was cut SIGNIFICANTLY!! OMG, my car is no longer sluggish. I have to be careful when I punch it in 1st cause the damn thing wants to shoot all over the road!

I am very pleased with this mod so far. I hope it stays that way. Retuning should not have to be done till it starts getting hot again, and considering I only drive the car at night, its only going to be getting cooler. Tomorrow I am going hunting for some new kills.

Has anyone taken the next step and backed out the black protrusion screw on the bottom? That'll allow more unmetered air to flow.

Sorry if I may have missed this but....

Will this mod be beneficial on a car with stock turbos/injectors?

TIA

Stock injectors? Not a good idea. You don't necessarily want your car to go leaner on stock injectors. I'd say this mod is more for people with larger injectors.

Yes. I did that too.

I don't think that will make too much of a difference, but it cant hurt.
