I'll be trying this ASAP which means sometime this week. you leave the large middle honeycomb yes? How do you get them out if they are glued.. I did try tapping them out and it didn't work.. if I was to go any harder I would start to damage them.

n/a's? nobody has said if this could work for an n/a? is it pointless to do this with small air flow like n/a's?

Previously my car was at an average of -26 for WOT with the Erik Gross rewire mod. Now that I got brave and gutted the MAF, my new SAFC settings are now around -15. My datalogs revealed that my timing went down by one degree. I thought it would have dropped a lot more, but then again I never went to the extreme of -36 or anything like that.

The car feels snappier during part throttle - I love this. I'll have to drive it some more before I give up on my MAFT + LS6.

It'll benefit an N/A if you've got larger than stock injectors...

Took the honeycombs out. They have glue on them so don't try to just tap them. I adjusted my S-afc II. The best part is I saved my old settings in data1 file so I just have to turn a knob to go back. put new settings in data 2. I have stage 3 heads and was running 1.08 bar with .94-.96 o2's at 70% IDC. Man this thing almost took my hair off it was so fast. Knock counts never over 1 except for some phantom knock during shifts.

My rough settings are
low 35%
hi 70%

low
ne 800 +15
the rest is -22

Hi
pretty much is -20 across the board

question, should idle on hi settings be in the +
my shits were glued in to. bastards

I was up to -38 above 4K with the hotwired Supra pump and RC 550's. That may be why I see less advance.

My car is faster all the way to redline though. Isn't yours?

If you're only running rich, just correct it with the SAFC. I wouldn't recommend taking the honeycombs out if you don't have some ways to correct the airflow signal at idle. The biggest reason for removing the honeycombs is to offset the huge correction factor needed on the SAFC after installing new injectors.
