I'm gonna chime in really quick...

When I installed my 680cc injectors (the PTE ones really more like 640's), I got knock. Timing at WOT was OVER 40 DEGREES! I'd IMMEDIATELY get 15-25 knock sums (at like 3psi!)

I pulled my base timing to around 2 degrees BTDC and now getting more like 30-35 degrees, the car pulls like mad and now less than 10 knock sum. HOWEVER my problem now is that I have NO low end. The car is like an on-off switch. No boost, feels like an SOHC (not joking). Boost and all the sudden the tires break loose from the power (not joking).

The datalog shows almost NO timing advance until boost comes on and then IMMEDITALY up to 30degrees. That's where the on-off switch effect happens.

Anyway, what I'd like to add is that I had this problem with the stock MAF and ALSO HAVING IT WITH THE LS6 MAF and MAF-T. I think it's a little bit less, but still the problem is there.

So my conclusion is that gutting the MAF can't have much more/better effect than putting in the LS6 maf combo.

I put in 780s after I would hit 96-97% IDC on the 550s

Here is a log I ran today.
ArcII 87mm
780 PTE injectors
propane

Running 20psi on this run
WOT on 2nd and 3rd

Notice timing at the end of 2nd hits 39 and no knock and 3rd gear pull is damn close to that. IDC of 70%

I know O2s are 98 but with propane O2s seem to run higher on the O2 sensor and runs great on my car.

I wasn't totally convinced my manual boost controller was responsible for those erratic spikes.

15g's + LS6 MAF (big one) + 20psi aspirations = 680cc's

Wow.. that was the most interesting thread I have read in a while.. with dyno improvement #'s like THAT... yes... I'll be giving it a try thank you. can always go back..

This is just the stuff that makes this site so reliable for good info.. the debates get hot until the truth be known for all to see. Good work to both sides of it and thank you Innovator.. if this works, I am in your debt.

Pulling honeycombs is nothing new. Been done for years...Heck I did it last year and was able to change my -33% +- correction to low -20% and yes, there were threads when I did it last year.

I have done MAFT with the AFC at 0% across the board, is that basically the same thing?

I ask because my AFC is soldered in so it would be a real pain to remove it.
