I'm at the end of my rope on this issue so I'm finally posting for help.
I am not getting power to my starter solenoid and I have not been able to trace the issue back to where the problem lies yet. This is on my NA Stealth that I recently did the ATX to MTX swap. Everything was working perfectly fine for a long time until the parking lock got stuck and wouldn't let me take the key out. I took apart the plastic locking mechanism that was not allowing me to remove my key and at some point along the way, I'm no longer getting power through the 2mm gauge wire to the starter solenoid. I know that the car can be started because I've been able to bridge power from the battery to the solenoid and it starts right up. It's cheating but at least I know that it can be started. This is where I'm at with it: It's not the starter relay, tested. All of the accessories turn on. All of the fuses are good. The Black-Yellow wire for the inhibitor switch is getting 11.50ish volts, not a full 12+. The inhibitor switch is properly bridged and I could start the car before. I don't know where the break is occuring. I do have a Hornet Valet 711T door locking system and it appears to work fine. The car does have the stock security system and it appears to work fine. If the key is held in the Start position continuously, the starter solenoid occasionally clicks. What I'd like to know: What is the wire color for the start position? Where does that wire go from there? What are the links in the chain from the ignition start position to the 2mm black-red line going to the starter solenoid? Is there any case in which I would need to wire the clutch pedal switch so it thinks that it's depressed? I've been racking my brain over this for two weekends and I still can't figure out why that line isn't getting power. I haven't been able to tell if the starter solenoid is getting power properly but it is clicking when the key is turned to the Start position. Other questions: The Black-Red line that goes to the starter solenoid, where does the other end of that wire go when it goes into the harness At the Inhibitor switch; should the Black-Green wire be getting power when the key is in the On or Start positions? At the Inhibitor switch; where do the Black-Green and Black-Yellow wires go along the harness? At the Inhibitor switch; If I test for volts when the Black-Green and Black-Yellow wires are touching, I do not get a reading in either the On or Start position, is this normal? At the Starter Relay, There are two Black Yellow wires and two Black-Green wires, where do these lines go along the harness? I noticed that they follow the harness that goes to the drivers side but what are they attached to? Can I bypass all security systems? That's all I can think of right now. I really want to get the Stealth working normally before WCNC which is next weekend.
