When you guys say upgrade your fuel system...what do you intend to include? Just pump and injectors? OR lines, too?

Also, the people running e85, have you changed your fuel filter yet? If so, how often? What are the maintenance (fuel component related) to run this?

I have a station in my town, so if you guys (no noobies) say it's good to go, I am going to try it.

T
I was able to get a 4:1 mix of 91:E85 with 580's and 13g's at 20lbs before I started running out of fuel

Thanks, Tom.

Now, a more important question:

Will the e85 eat the lining of my gas tank? WHO had to replace their fuel filter because they made the switch to e85?

I was using it for about 2 years and never had any problems

you don't have to worry about alcohol eating away at the seals and stuff on modern cars

Trung,

Just pump and injectors, though a pressure regulator is nice to have too.

Most people change the fuel filter about a month after the switch as the ethanol will act as a cleaning agent for your tank/lines.

If your not running high boost why bother going to e85?

I get 10 mpg...tell me I can't get better...hahaha.

No matter how I drive and at what psi, I always get the same gas mileage per tank. I always put in 5 gallons exactly, and I always get about 49-52 miles before I refill another 5 gallons.

When my boost was set at 14 psi, I was getting 10mpg. It's set to 6 psi and I still get 10mpg...what the hell.
