Yeah, what he said. You can't run 450's with out some type of controller. Well if you run e-85 you might, but I wouldn't try it. You will also need a datalogger.

P.S.

Found the closest E85 station (National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition) to me is only 23 miles away. Today's price is $3.69/gal and they allow Container/drum filling. I have an empty 55 gallon C16 drum.
Looks like a have a Project this weekend

Cool Chris! Too bad you have to drive so far to get it but at least you can do the drum thing. Good luck on the tuning. You will really like E85. It is very forgiving.

23 miles isn't too bad. I will take the diesel truck and fill a 55 gal drum for $202

$3.69 for gal of e85 is TOO MUCH. I pay $2.89 and I think that it could be cheaper. and that gas station will not give you more than $75 worth of gas in one transaction. I had two 6 gal containers with me + fuel tank so that was well over $75.

I will see if anyone else is around cheaper. The place close to me said no problem filling a 55 gallon drum.

So Do I just off the bat add 30% across the board on my fuel map before even starting it and tuning? Sounds right but want to make sure.

Yeah that is a good place to start. You'll want to tune it a little richer than with gas. I shoot for around 11.6-11.2.

I don't know I you injectors will be large enough to though. I have 680's and 13t's with the fuel pressure at 50 psi my IDCs were over 100. I just turned the fuel pressure up to 55 psi and the IDCs are now around 90.

I thought with e-85 there is an equation you have to use to make sure you are in the right range for af ratio?
