I've ran those numbers on Jeff's site also but I don't think that 440 awhp (assuming 20% drivetrain loss) would net a 122 mph traps. I could be wrong though.
P.S. That run was in Denver at 5800' elevation. ![]()

It is in the ballpark only if it is WHP. If 550BHP, then that is only ~440WHP or so at best. A 3900lbs car isn't going to trap 122mph with only 440whp.
Here is a couple of hp calculators that use WHP: 1/4 mi WHP Calc 1/4 mi WHP Calc -Rogue

I haven't read through this whole post, so I don't know if this has been posted yet, but the link below contains the best e85 faq I've seen so far. I now run a 25-30% mix on my sr20, mostly for an added safety factor, and I love the stuff.

Hey guys,
In my E-85 fueled EVO I only ran it for one winter on E-85 due to the cold start issues. I don't really need 500+ wheel HP on snow tires and slippery winter roads anyway, so I now run gasoline in the winter. I defenitly had alcohol smell in my oil change that spring, but I think that the oiling system in the EVO's is more robust than in the 3s cars, and that combined with no dyno runs or racing in the winter resulted in no damage being done. If anyone is interested in parts for a high HP E-85 combination I will have a for sale thread after I am a "verified seller" (may take a while on a holliday weekend)... not going to go off topic or circumvent selling rules by trying to sell stuff in this thread. Later, Keith
