1) Why is Advanced Tech Discussions HIDDEN in this new and amazingly stupid IMHO forum scheme? I am not the world's smartest man but it took me awhile to find this, and I was about to give up until I took the forum jump to "other" just out of morbid curiosity. Any chance we could go back to the OLD "forum jump" scheme and away from this new Psychotic's Delight scheme??

2) EDIT: OK I see the "old way of searching" is still available and works, the Google search is junk and doesn't work, maybe it's a moneymaking deal LOL! [Original question here was WHY, when I search "rod bearing", the 'new' Google Search of 3SI gives me a bunch of hits, and I click on one that should direct me to a multipage post about this, and instead it just takes me BACK to THIS MAIN Advanced Tech Discussin page, NOT the actual thread about ROD BEARINGS??]

Did we just somehow lose all the old tech discussions, as it says there are only 15 total threads in Adv Tech Disc section?

forum jump issue fixed.

"Did we just somehow lose all the old tech discussions, as it says there are only 15 total threads in Adv Tech Disc section?"

That is probably just the default "show threads from the last XX days" hiding older threads. That can be changed by adjusting the filter at the bottom of the thread list.

As far as the rest of the "changes" Here is the readers digest version of what happened. Mods discussed changes. Mods thought it was "OK". Announcment and thread to discuss changes were posted. For about a month nothing was changes and everyone that posted a comment liked the changes. Forum was changed. Seveal people complained. Mods said "why didn't you say something before". Response received was "we ignore Announcments and stickys" The lesson is "read the announcments and stickys"

If people are still complaining in a month or so a new announcment and discussion thread will be posted to discuss alternatives.
