I know personally of a customer of mine with my Lightweight Boost Injection kit that is running a 90/10 mix denatured alcohol/distilled water and can run about 28psi, on pump. and is only tuned with an arc2

So tune pump to 11.5-11.8:1

Start spraying meth. You should see your o2's get increasingly rich with the more meth you add.

Tune your car back down to 11.5-11.8:1 and then you can start leaning it out a bit to see if that helps.
Yeah, when I tried this it was about 4 years ago and I gave up on it since I didn't get results. Widebands were still reasonably exotic at the time. If I see some positive results, I may try it again with a more sophisticated injection system triggered off my AEM. I'm rapidly running out of space under the hood for tanks and such though.

The combustion engine power comes from expended gases and the less temperature on the intake and MORE on the output the more power engine makes. you lower temperature unneccessary and you are lossing power.
I have a W/M controller that uses the stock 3/S Karman signal and boost pressure to control injection. Works great so you don't over inject and loose low and mid range power. Also have one that uses a 0-5volt signal that could be used with AEM. Would do $109 shipped (List is $129 + shipping) to 3Si members.
There was an EVO featured in Turbo magazine last month that was doing 30 something psi with W/M. They called it the ultimate tunner cheat (LOL).

Which turbos available to us would flow 30psi to redline? That would be alot of power, can our transmissions take it?

Matt:
There are a number of tank options for you. Can put a tank in the trunk or behind rear seats. Mine is the 99 overflow tank that mounts under the front bumper, it is only 1.5qts. European version is full gallon. (yep great more weight for the front)

Hey Jim, do you have much snow yet? Meeting Racer Boy at Summit Point next weekend.

Did you get the W/M kit installed yet? If so how is it working for you?

Best regards,

Dan

It has snowed very lightly twice, but did not stick.
It's not in yet. We are installing the roll bar first so we will know where we can mount the tank for the kit. Ryan Smith is going to put it in for me.

So, im really going to wake up a dead thread. I hope nobody gets mad... So is propane really that dangerous..? can it backfire and blow up? Hell, if we are going to inject dangerous and combustible things into our cars why not just use oxy-setaline. haha..

We already inject dangerous and combustible things into our engines, it's called gasoline. And it's sitting in large amounts in a thin metal tank that can easily be punctured by hand with a screwdriver. Try that to a propane tank.

Propane tanks are already installed in many municiple vehicles that have been converted including police cars. Most Camper/RVs, many personal LPG cars/trucks. You don't see them running around exploding left and right.

Wow it was 3 yrs ago that I posted in this thread. Hope Jim has his system installed by now.

Not many worries about propane back firing, I did see a post a while back where a Noz tank blew up and took out a guys garage. But that is very rare.

Propane can help, but Water-Meth injection will lower IAT more and is safer, IMO.

Water-Meth is octane on demand, more HP on pump gas. With our new Injection Fail Safe, IFS-10, it is very reliable.

Best regards,

Dan
