What mix are you using and how high boost have you gotten it to on pump gas?

I know we can get to 30psi with teh correct size nozzle. Plus turbos that can flow that much.

What is the point of spraying at full power at 8psi?
If you are spraying water you only loosing power...

probably because the boost zooms past 8psi in like 1 second, and you gotta figure there's a slight delay from when the pump cuts on and it actually starts spraying, so its to make sure its turned on by the time you hit 16psi+

ok. i have 15psi at 3K. what is the point of spraying at 3K ?
So, it robs the performance at low RPM to win at HIGH?

My main reason for using water injection is as a safety measure to suppress detonation & the bonus is I get to run an extra 5psi freeing up more power. Race gas is great but is expensive & inconvenient for me to obtain & I can only get 91 octane gas in my area. I have the coolingmist dual stage system, first stage comes on at 6 psi (1gph nozzle) & second stage at 14psi (3.9gph). I also use a dual stage boost controller set at 13psi (low for daily driving) & 20 psi (high, when I need it!) Just last Sunday I was at a track day at the local raceway racing with some Evo's & when I hit that switch from low to high boost at the beginning of the straight, I started to reel those Evo's in. Those extra 5 pounds of boost are really worth it to me!

Effective would be the key word I'd be looking for. Still waiting for that data that shows it actually picks up power on our cars...

Please note that I'm not trying to be a hater or whatever - but if this works it should be very easy to prove it on a dyno with back-to-back pulls with and without the spray. I just want to see the results and not the guesses about what it should do.

It's not going to ADD power for a certain boost level, but if you can increase boost, then you will gain power.

If I can run 30psi on pump gas with meth/water though instead of running 20psi on pump gas without meth/water, I will gain a CONSIDERABLE amount of power. You're still injecting more fuel when you add more boost.
