Arrow Alcohol vs. Methanol vs. Nitrous vs. Propane vs. Water vs. Race Gas

I'm wondering if we could collect enough information on knock preventatave systems to make it into the Encyclopedia section.
Cost comparrisons would be beneficial, ease of use, ease of installation as well as safety issues with each of the systems.
This isn't so much to prove which one is best but rather gather all the data about them to allow potiential users to chose which one is best - for them.

Alcohol injection:
Pro
1) Can use standard windshield wiper fluid tank to hold mixture.
2) Windshield cleaning fluid can be used.

nitrous is not a knock retardant like the others. the other 3 attempt to drop intake temps to prevent knock. nitrous shoots more oxygen into the cyl with more fuel to cause more combustion. while yes it does cool slightly when spraying because its changing state from high pressure to low thats not really why its used.

I can't beleive with all the "gear heads" on this site no one knows anything about these systems.

I actaully want to see which we would benifit more, METHANOL injection vs. Propane Injection

As of now I have the IPO propane injection setup. It's been in my car for nearly 2 years, but never used. I have seen the supra guys have miraculously good outcomes with the methanol injection.

They say taht methanol will help cool the charge PLUS they can run shit loads of boost and a more agressive timing curve.

Propane injection you can definately run shit loads of boost, but there are hardly any cooling effects.

What are your takes on this??? I was going to make my own post, but saw this one and thought I'd add to it. Sorry if this gets off topic too much.

Nope, that is exactly the type of topic we want.
I added your category to the tittle.

i bought a meth kit from www.derekdevises.com and my friend has the same one on an almost identical setup to mine. so far he's been able to run 28psi on pump 91 octane and 100%methanol injection. 630rwhp and 500rwtq showed up on the dyno on that run.
after that we put in 110 octane and meth shooting, cranked the WG as tight as possible and it turned out 650rwhp 645rwtq at 30psi.
without methanol 18 psi would be the limit on pump gas.
also he has it setup to when the meth shoots the AEM advances timing 5 degrees. very worth the ~300 bucks for the setup
