"The Weapon They Fear"

Hey guys well Ive been all into 300ZXs and recently purchased a 3000GT SL 99' through a dealership. Its a blue 99"..It has 60,000 miles and its a SL Automatic..yes boo its an auto
. Well I was wondering how hard and costly is getting either a single turbo setup or twin turbo setup. I thought about a VR-4 but I dont have alot of money to start over, not to mention alot of VR-4 need work because they have like 100,000 miles or more. I figured my engine is strong and low miles it would be able to handle the turbos. But I wanted to hear from some guys with knowledge what they think is the best thing to do would be. I dont care that much that its an auto considering I watched some videos of 3000GT TT that were auto and were running 11's-12's. How much would you guess I would spend in everything and to pay someone to do it? please honest answers. thanksLast edited by Robbie3000GT01 : 07-07-2008 at 08:52 PM. Reason: spelling |

Welcome. First question. How much did you spend on the car?

I got it for about 8,000$ the engine bay is extremely clean. The interior is all black leather looks like new i would say its a 9/10. And the exterior has some minor scuffs and scratches. I am making payments on the car and I just looked at the kelly blue book and it says it worth about 10-11k? I know I need more speed its not bad but would like to be faster. I dont expect to run 10s but would like a little more power so it can handle its own

but, since you're here in the "suspension area"...
rims and lowering her are in my opinion, the best two things you can do the exterior... assuming your paint isn't crazy out of whack or anything. _isiah

if you want to spend more, your options will become much more opened. and, if you are deciding between 18's and 19's and honestly care about performance, i'd go with 18's. you can find wheels in either size that look good (19's being a little more difficult). 19 inch tires will also end up costing you more... good luck bud, and if you have any more questions, or i didn't answer very well, FIRE AWAY. _isiah |
