Default Tire size with 18X9.5 5Zeigens???

I was looking to go with 275/35/18's will they work well on stock suspension? Or should I use a different size? Thanks for the help...

I can tell you 285/35/18 fit on the rear for my stock suspension, but on my intrax vr4 they barely rubbed the fender lips. The offset also causes them to stick out a lot more than stock wheels/tires, so you're more likely to get dirt and stuff on the side of the car behind them from puddles, etc. I know that's not exactly what you're asking, but it may be useful. I doubt 285 will fit on the front tho, but never tried. Curious if 275 fits tho, hopefully somebody tells ya.

The 275/35/18 is a designated tire size for a 18X9.5 rim for most tire manufacture. Putting it on a 3S, the 275/35/18 tires are desired upgrade size since the 275/35/18 has similar diameter to OE tire size.

Set of 275 grips much more than a set of 245. Tweeked suspention ie stiffer spring rate, damping force, depending on the field you drive will enable the 275 do the job better.

You can increase performance of stock 245 tires by tweekeing suspension components as well.

The only thing done to my suspension is intrax. Would I be safe going 275 35 on the rear and maybe 265 35 on the front? I don't have the funds to upgrade the suspension to coilovers at this time...

There is no problem just putting 275 size on 3S. However, taking advantage of the 275 is a little bit different story. Since the 275 tires widen the OE tire side, you would expect more understeering than OE 245. However, if you just drive in street, you probably don't need to worry about the 275 size.

You probably don't wanna put different size tires on VR4/TT front/rear unless the tire diameter is very close. i.e. you can put 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 since they are almost same diameter. If you would want 263/35/18 rear then you may need to choose 235/40/18 front.

Intrax will help you push the wide rubber on the ground. You can tweek alignment spec as well depending on the field you drive.

I'll be attempting to run 285/35/18s front & back on either 18x9.5s +35 or 18x10s +25. One thing that should help is the fact I have TEIN coilovers

I have intrax with 19x9 all around and 275/30/19's on all 4 corners. No rubbing or any issues.

If you go with the 5zigens, let me know how it works out... maybe I could get a couple more wheels and go 285 all around... tires aren't cheap tho! I guess I could test them on the front myself and see... doh!

You guys sure that a 275 wide tire is not gonna rub anything in the front? We talking about TT or NA? Or does it really not matter? I'm forced to go 265 because ppl kept telling me 275 will rub. I have Tein Flex on my NA and I'm scared to go 275.

One more thing; I heard wider tires weigh more. 265s weigh 25lbs but 275s will weigh 30lbs. Not sure if it is wise to go wider with that extra weight issue.
