I can tell you personally the Toyo's are garbage. Gate has them on his Focus and they suck, bad. Compared to the ContiSports that I have on mine there is definitely a difference in sound level, traction, and cornering abilty.

The Nitto's that people are recommending are quite nice, OTOH. those and the Bridgestones are both real nice tires.

I know I'm not on GI, so I don't see why he didn't see my Nitto comments ...

I saw them lawdog, I haven't had a chance to research those yet. I will take them into consideration. Right now though I am leaning towards the Bridgestones.

Thanks

Sorry to seem pushy - never looked into those Bridgestones, maybe I should do some research. Funny because I just finished designing a rotary valve for the Bridgestone plant in DesMoines ... I should ask their sales guy for a set! haha

Those RE050's are currently some of the highest ranked tires in their group. They replaced the S-03's last year as Bridgestone's flagship tire. Very, very nice rubber.

I agree- I run Nitto NT555 also, they are great. I am actually buying NT555R today for the front. I have 245/45/r17's. You can't beat the price and grip of the Nittos.

Crap and I was just about set on the Perrelli's now you have me rethinking the RE050's. Here is the thing though. I have been told that Bridgestone's are a rather loud tire. Is this true?

I can't tell you specifically if the RE050 is loud, but the tread pattern looks a lot like my ContiSports, which are very quiet imho.
