Hey guys! First, I wanted to thank to Ksport USA and Robert and Mike from Element Motorsport for introducing us to these suspension kits. It was very nice to tour their shop and meet them today. I liked what I saw and I almost bough everything that they had on the shelves!
I started taking these coilovers apart, and let me tell you, they are great kits, period. From all the little touches I notices, I can tell the engineers were thinking when they were putting them together. I do not think there is any way to get disappointed when buying these. The quality is top-notch, at least from what I saw at the first sight. Everything is tight, thick billet aluminum anodized knuckle tabs, beefy camber plates, all are well-finished and fit great. They are light though, only 48 lbs with the box! A pressurized monotube design with plenty of travel. The adjusters regulate rebound damping, as expected, so with a few turns of the knob the damping could be adjusted to your liking. The stock springs rates, I believe, are great for street driving. They use standard off-the-shelf 2.5" ID springs, which is a big plus, in case you want softer springs. If you want stiffer springs then you must be a road racing nut, LOL! A one-year warranty, something that is unheard of, and some feedback from other forums proves that they will last too. An outstanding value, IMHO. Of course everything must be looked at in the right context. There are still ways to improve handling if you are willing to spend twice the price. Else, these coilovers are perfectly suited for daily and some track driving. Congrats on carrying an excellent product Philip. I think the biggest thing on the minds of current KSport owners are whether you have a solution to securely secure the brake lines and the brackets. I know mine are zip-tied but since you are a suspension expert for the 3SI platform, any suggestions or products you offer to complement the Ksports would be greatly appreciated.
On another note, can you go ahead and clarify for everyone who do purchase the KSports from you in the future whether the use of Eibach camber bolts are required. I know I have installed the KSports with the camber bolts on the advice of a fellow local member who had a Tein setup and was not able to get his car in alignment correctly ... camber-wise in the front.

We will be testing a kit in a 2-3 days. We will check strut clearances, in case they change in any way after the installation, brake line attachement points, and other things that I heard folks are concerned about. Sounds like some of the issues may not even exist, and others can be easily solved. There are some brackets in the box that Ksport added to attach the brake lines. We will be figuring out how they work.
And yes, we will definitely be testing and developing products for these coilovers to improve both ride and handling. Philip |

I have them on my car already. I was just wondering if you have alternative solutions for attachment points.
Kinda want to compare notes of sorts. ... Anyhow ... can't wait to see your full review when you get to test them on one of your cars. |

I'd like to know if K-Sport solved the problem of not having the taper on the rear shock mount, they said they were going to be fixing this but I never heard anything since.
FYI: I think I have the bracket issue solved. Last edited by oohnoo : 02-12-2006 at 04:13 PM. |
