I have already released the preload as you described. This does help, but the ride quality is still not nearly as smooth as stock (I am not expecting it to be). However, IMO this decrease in comfort is not worth the increase in performance. Maybe if I lived in a place with smoother roads.

Tom.

Loosen the two collars and keep lossening it until there is play between the spring and its encapsulation area. Finger tighten until all that play is gone, but only until the spring doesn't rattle up and down. Then, hold the top collar and lock the bottom one firmly to the top one without turning the top one. I used a couple dabs of thread locker on them to keep them from lossening up becuase they kept loosening on me at first.
The ride should be firm but not that bad. I drove my car into NYC 2x with them on there and it wasn't bad unless I hit some really bad road. My biggest complaint was that the car really follows the ruts and dips and makes you stay vigilant to keep the car straight. Otherwise the handiling is a huge improvement.

I'll try that. I have access to a lift so that makes things much easier. I really think that will help and although I don't expect ride quality to be as good as stock, I certainly hope it's a little better than it is now.

I have the same problem with the car following little ruts and dips in the road too. It gets annoying sometimes because you do have to try so hard to keep the car straight. But the handling is awesome when you can get on a nice road.

NA's weigh 4-500lbs LESS than TT's....thats the problem.....K-Sport uses the same TT spring rates on the lighter NA. Might want to opt for lighter ones , I know I will be.

I don't think so. You are given an option of FWD or AWD on Supercar's website, and the AWD ones are more stiff IIRC.

Damn... and I was going to buy these in about 2 weeks. Guess I'll hold off awhile longer.

I have had my ksports on my car since march. I know I have put over 10-15k miles on them.

I have them adjusted with about 2-3 turns of preload on the front and rear springs. Just enough to keep them tight. As far as adjustment on the stiffness of the dampening you cant run it all the way soft, the car will bounce. Go ahead and run it about halfway and try it out. My car is stiff but it is very comfortable. And hell I also am running front and rear sway bars and toe and camber arms in the rear.

Once you get them dialed in for your car, you will love them.

On my VR-4, the ride is not that bad over most roads. However, I came off of Intrax plus stock ECS and went to these which feel a little stiffer then sport. Its definitely much better on smooth roads, but definitley not a perfect solution if you want smooth comfortable ride and great handiling. I think the only thing that would give you that is air suspension systems
