Honestly I don't scrape as much as I thought I would, I just had to learn how to drive the car all over again. Now I try to avoid steep inclines and the like so I don't put my car in that kind of situation. Speed bumps aren't even a problem unless they are massive.
I just don't see how that is possible and your car is still driveable. Like I said the car cannot make it out the driveway it scrapes BADLY and this is certainly no exaggeration. The scraping was in the front on the driver side as I backed out turning ever so slowly and on a good angle to the left. Thats how I always used to avoid bottoming before and no dice this time. To me at the stock ride height there is enough babying going on as it is to keep it from bottoming out. I do not want much of a difference in that regard. I don't intend on dragging or autoxing anytime soon. Just daily driving.

SPEED BUMPS as it stands right now would be a nightmare for me. Quite simply people if I cannot get the hydraulic jacks under the car as I cannot now then this is way too low for my taste. I realize this isn't the popular desire amongst most of you guys, but I did thorough research on this before I purchased them and was told by Philip at SCE that the highest height setting would put me at a mere .5" - 1" lower than stock which was liveable for me.

OK, listen I know there is a lot of talk, but I'm stating it again. There is no threading left at the bottom of the strut. The locking ring below the lower strut mount is hanging on to about 2 - 3 threads and any further it would come OFF.

If there is almost no gap between the shock body inside the orange lower mount and the black locking ring at the bottom, you can raise the suspension more.
This is what is having me think I was sent the wrong product for my application even though the box confirms its right because according to what I've got the lower mount as far as it will go counterclockwise without pushing the lower black locking ring off. When I opened the box it looked like it had been messed with already (at least one of the struts) as there were scratches on the camber plate and screws were just sitting open in the box.

Did you try adjusting the suspension lower mount to the point where the black locking ring only engages three full threads? Meaning if you turned the black locking ring 3 full rotations counterclockwise (looking from the bottom up), the black ring will fall off.
See above.

At that height, I found that the car was still about 1.5" lower than stock which works out pretty good for street driving. Your fronts on the other hand are really low. It''ll not only scrape the ground, your tires don't have much clearance to the fender if you corner hard (and/or hit a bump while turning).

Yes, and I don't want it that way. FYI - My Rears appear to be higher than the front, yet still I cannot get a jack back there. Its rediculous. Would higher rears mean a lower front too btw? or just that the front would be at an angle pointing more downward?

OK, Imagine if this whole time we've all be talking that I did not know the physical MAKE-UP (structure) of the lower black locking ring and thought it was just as slim in top to bottom width as the other rings on the shaft? LOL - Look at Jerrgy and I's conversation in AIM just a moment ago.

ThinkAbtIt: ok
ThinkAbtIt: here's the lesson for the day
ThinkAbtIt: just got off the phone with them
jerggy13: dont dumb a grand on coilovers if you dont want your car slamed
jerggy13:
ThinkAbtIt: I had not ever clockwised the lower mount up and down the threading
jerggy13: haha
ThinkAbtIt: so
ThinkAbtIt: I never saw that the black locking ring
ThinkAbtIt: is NOT like the other rings on the shaft of the strut
ThinkAbtIt: I was thinking this whole time
ThinkAbtIt: that its fucking like
ThinkAbtIt: 1/4" wide
ThinkAbtIt: just like those other rings
ThinkAbtIt: but the dude (from Ksport) just told me its like a sleeve
ThinkAbtIt: that goes up inside and under the lower mount
jerggy13: yah
ThinkAbtIt: so THAT my friend
ThinkAbtIt: is what I was missing
ThinkAbtIt: big miss too
jerggy13: yah pretty much
jerggy13: i was wondering why you could not raise it
ThinkAbtIt: I was just eager to get them on
ThinkAbtIt: not to experiment with them
jerggy13: its hard to help without being there
ThinkAbtIt: right
ThinkAbtIt: fuck man
ThinkAbtIt: I feel like such a goofball
ThinkAbtIt: lol

Soooooo you the light bulb went off and now you understand it all. Tell you the truth I'm still not sure what you thought was the right way to raise and lower it. But the important thing is you got it figured out.

Yeah, that's why I asked him to measure the distance between the bottom of the shock body and the bottom of the black locking ring. If there's no gap, you can raise the car almost 2 inches. I actually measured all that before installing mine and posted how much height adjustment room is possible with the KSports.

And as far as adjusting the black locking ring, I should have mentioned that in order to adjust it to the point where only 3 threads are engaged, you obviously need to unscrew it to the point it falls off, then put it back on and turn it 3 full turns. I thought that should be obvious instead of thinking, "Well I think there's only 3 threads engaged at this point" but obviously he didn't get it.

Well, at least he's got it now.

I just got mine in last week, ride quality is nothing to brag about (it's a little bit worse then the tein s.techs) but then again that's not why you get coilovers

I have my car sitting about as high as the stechs had it, maybe a little bit higher, but not much

the handling is straight up AMAZING, like night and day compared to the s.techs, the extra -0.5* of camber in the front really made a difference with plow, and body roll is a thing of the past

my alignment is just as weird as it always has been, just with more camber in the front now

1/8" toe out in the front
-2.0* camber in the front

no toe or camber in the rear

oh, and the guys at firestone love me now, I bought a lifetime alignment there so I try different setups fairly often lol
