Default rattle from rear strut are

when ever i hit a a bump, whether it be big or small, i hear a rattle from the rear of the car coming from the strut areas like something is loose. This happened when i got new bilstein struts and eibach spings. I emptied out the trunk area and it still made the noise. Anyone ever have this problem?

Did you replace the strut mounts when you installed your bilstiens? Or at least inspect them? You may also want to look at your swaybar endlinks.

Are the Eibachs sized for 1996+ ? Our stock spring diameter is 1/2 inch smaller than the 1991 - 1995 cars. If the Eibachs are sized for 91 - 95, they won't match up correctly to 96+ spring perches and could definitely be rattling around.

^^^ I agree.

I think the Eibachs are notorious for that. The coils on the ends of springs are very closely spaced. It does not take much to bang them together. My Stealth rattles when going over uneven railroad tracks etc.

IIRC I read somewhere that Eibach would send out some "hose" that could be slipped over the coils to cushion the contact area. I keep saying I am going to look into that, but never seem to get around to it.
