Here's a few pics of my Hyper Silver Axis Hiro 18x8.5 (offset 35 also available in GunMetal). Clears Gen1 VR4 Calipers by 1/4" WITHOUT spacers.

Great choice Joel_CA! I love these rims... didn't think they'd look great in 18" on our cars but they look damn good on your car.

You can read more about them at www.axiswheel.com as far as offset availabiity and sizing . I believe you can get them staggerred. They weight something around 20lbs +/- . I bought them from www.wheelmax.com which includes free mounting and balancing, shipping, and tuner wheel lock lugs for an absolutely amazing deal.. I tried everywhere to find a better deal locally and nobody could even come close.

It was your post and signature regarding your wheels (aren't yours for sale?) that made me worry less about whether they'd fit over the calipers or not (i saw your post after i had them ordered). Customer service assured me they will, but i was sceptical. I considered them in Gun Metal like yours but i'm more of an old school kinda guy- i like em in Hyper Silver. The polished lip really sets it off. I'm pretty happy with em

Hah, I know the feeling Joel. I asked a good dozen or so companies if the rims would fit before I purchased em -- most said no, one said yes. I was pretty positive that there wasn't such thing as a good looking wheel that didn't say Volk/Advan/(insert super high priced wheel company here) on it that fit our cars, but the rep gave me a guarantee for fitment (shipping covered) so I took the risk. Soooooo glad it worked out, easily my favorite thing about my car But yes, they are for sale now. I've been running into a bunch of problems with this car, most recently (as in today) a possible blown head gasket (linky so unfortunately the money just vastly outweighs my love

I've seen the hyper silver ones in person on a 350z and the finish is brilliant to say the least -- I've actually regretted going with gunmetal occasionally (it's hard not to love the hyper silver), but I probably would make the same choice today

Surprised you got a 1/2" of clearance though, mine is maybe a 1/4" at best
