You don't get any rub with that tire combo. I want to put 255/40 or 45/18 on my car. I was worried about rubbing issues. Can you give me any feedback? Thanks much.

Anyone put 255/45/18 on their car? i am not worried about the speedo being off. I just want to know if there will be any rubbing issues on a SL. Thanks

from everything ive heard there will be rubbing issues i have 235 40 18 and they are fine but just barely...i think the 45 has been said to rub b4

As far as I know, there are a lot of people running 255/40/18 on their car with no rubbing issues at all... think of all the people running 9" rims with even wider tires. However, I am no sure whether rubbing becomes an issue when the car is lowered, but I am pretty sure there are a good deal of people who have gotten by with it.
