Changing height shouldnt affect ride quality. The way the bottom part of the body is threaded in when you lower and raise it doesnt compress or uncompres the spring any.

Why in the hell would you spend that much money on a completly adjustable set up to keep it stock height or only 1/2" drop? You said in your first post you do not care about the drop or the handling. if your that worried about the ride quality, roll stock.

sounds like eibach springs would work best for you. When I had them it barely dropped at all and the ride was very stockish

Uh. suspension in the race track that is 2 "bouncy" and doesnt have rebound adjustment isnt safe on some tracks. Leaving the apex at high speeds and hitting a rapid change in grade will cause the car to go airborn. I challenge one of you to take a ride in a car with WORLD-class suspension on them and compare.

EDIT: i understand that budget matters guys. This is just my personal experience. I think gtpro with exception of philip at supercar have the experience installing and have driven all the coilovers on the 3s. My post isnt meant to be snobby and i can see how it looks like it is. But honestly. I would not drive anything on a daily basis other than tein flex's with swift springs, or kw's alone. They are more expensive, but the ride quality and control is vastly superior and the handling is world class. Im used to driving my gt3 RSR. A track prepped vr4 with weight reduction on KW variant 3s, sticky tires and a brass-balled driver is faster than my gt3 around the track

Off the cuff your question is right and valid. Initially when I bought the Ksports I was not aware that the word "coilover" really is meant for racing only. I learned that the hard way, but .....

I said I wasn't worried about drop or handling to set the tone to get the answers I needed (daily driver ride quality compared to stock). I'm more concerned with ride qaulity than anything else, but I did/do want something that handles a "little" better than stock and is adjustable for the day that comes when I'll be able to race or drag somewhere. .5" drop is well... not much, but its something. If I go lower where I live the front arms (or something else) scraps the driveway even if I'm going as slow as possible at as sharp an angle as possible.

Also, even if I didn't want adjustable settings, yet want something "a tad firmer than stock" coilovers really are the only choice around because adding springs to KYBs is apparently the way to cut half or more life off the KYBs cause they weren't meant for lowering and I'm not doing all that modding to install the Bilsteins. So there ya have it. I'd only be left with coilovers anyway. Tee Hee

That'd be the most expensive test drive ever and it would rock. lol - I appreciate it man. I have to focus on work soon though cause its gettin to crunch time.

I'm thinking that I'm gonna go with the Megans based on mostly your feedback and a few others here. I was just hoping there were a lot more people with them installed that would've posted more, but if you or whoever said someone was riding with you and stated they didn't even notice the car had coilovers installed thats exactly the kinda ride I'm looking for daily use.

With the issue of the Teins leaking and their pillow mounts cracking, I thing $1500 is asking a little too much, and if you include their shitty customer service, it is down right robbery. the sad thing is I like the cockpit control that Tein Flex offers. I know that Tanabe offers the same "on the fly" control, but sadly they don't make CO's for us. Hey GTPRO, talk to Tanabe about that!!!

On a side note, I see that no one has mentioned the Stance coil overs. I talked to one of the members here and he is using them and seems to like the over the K's he had. Has anyone else used Stance coil overs?

I saw that the KW dealers in europe sell a hydraulic kitt that you bolt on to the coilovers, whenever you have an obstacle or something you can raise the car up to 2 inch from inside
I have seen them in the $1900+ range.

Do you have any info on the Hydraulic kit?

i can tell you the only 3000gt/gto kw suspension to touch US soil was sent to gtpro from KW germany By Klaus Wolfart himself. They are to me, worth every penny of the price. They are substantially better than anything available for 3s. Look at the world class vehicles running their suspensions. Were talking porsche cup, lemans, and so on. Im sorry to babble. They did leave a lasting impression
