BNorris rode with me back in October and he said he didnt even realize it was coilovered.

Pretty sure Vinnie R4 rode in it coilovered as well and he had no complaints.

I easily put 200-400 miles a week on my car and I have never once regretted doing so with the coilovers. Hell the clutch is more of a discomfort for daily driving than the coilovers are.

I'm dropped pretty low and want to go slightly lower in front. I am set to #1 (softest) for my day to day use. I drove around on #32 for two weeks and it didnt really bother me.

Thats my experiences. As I have said before it might just be due to the fact I have higher tolerances than others. It might also just be they are not that bad.
Im comparing them vs everything else on the market as far as GOOD suspension goes. MOTON, KW, bilsteins, hks, cusco, buddy club etc. Not JUST as 3s is concerned. I have driven multiple megans, while they are better than d2/ksport, not as good as tein , i flat out HATE jics. Im very opinionated on suspension

I've also talked to several people who cant stand the ride quality of Tein.

The fact of the matter is my car does not bounce one bit.

Also comparing them to Tein isnt exactly fair.

Megan Racing $900, Tein $1500

Megan Racing

rear: 447 lbs/in

K-sport stiffness
front 9 kg/mm (504 lbf/in)
rear 7kg/mm (392 lbf/in)

D2 racing (assumed to be same as k-sport)
front 487 lbs/in
rear 403 lbs/in
Pete, you think I could drive in your car to feel how the ksports feel before I do coilovers?

Sorry. MINE is not a daily driver. i can walk to work.
I would have no problem daily driving with this if i did not live where i live. But my roads are pretty bad.

Do the rest of you concur with that? ..and before you answer please keep in mind the soft stock ride quality.

When ya'll say stiff thats what i'm having a problem understanding. I don't mind the suspension being tight/stiff while still being able to absorb the bumps while keeping the car still somewhat level like the stock setup does..... Is it possible to have a stiff suspension that absorbs the the bumps somewhat like the stock setup does? I basically don't want a headache or to watch my belly flop up and down when driving.

What I do like about the Megan's (and I called them to talk about it) is just the fact alone that they include the brake line bracket tells me they are well engineered with much thought behind them. Megan Racing told me on the phone that they kept in mind daily street driving and that it should be comfortable. But see I don't know if they are saying "comfortable" based on Stock Ride quality or Autox/Drag/Course racing quality or somewhere in-between. I was hoping for something in-between stock and Ksports....

I guess another good question is for those who've ridden in Ksports before how much better are the Megan's for "TOURING" daily driving?

Nate how do your roads compare to Jay's road going to his house?

Also OT but have you talked to him lately? Last I talked to him was in a text convo the end of last month.

My megans have been on the car for a week, but I haven't been able to drive it yet. It's been sitting in paint since then. In fact, I installed them at the painter's .

I'll be sure to comment when I get it back, but I did my research and found them to be a very good choice in the sub-$1500 price range, so I expect to be happy.

The road from his place to the highway going to PRP is probably the closest compairison. And it is nice compaired to mine. LOL

Yeah, all the time. I was there the other day. Me, him, and Dave(jv393//klze) were replacing the temp sensor and threw my Scanmaster on for a CEL on Dave's car at his place cause Dave does not have a garage at he monent.

KW 3

Year: 91-99
Lowering Adjustment Ranges: Front: 0.8-2.0 Inch
Rear: 0.9-2.1 Inch
Springrates in lbs/inch: Front: 400
Rear:285

$2,156

pricy

I saw that the KW dealers in europe sell a hydraulic kitt that you bolt on to the coilovers, whenever you have an obstacle or something you can raise the car up to 2 inch from inside

What about bouncy-ness or otherwise daily driving discomfort on a person who sets the Megans at stock height or only .5" drop?

All of ya'll probably have it set way low, but do you think setting it that high would dramatically change the ride quality to: BOUNCE or other worse feel?
