I've been researching on lowering my car. I hear the tein s. springs are a good choice for the VR4's.
Are there different springs you would recomend for an N/A? and also is all i would need to lower the car springs? or are the struts smart to replace as well? Also is this a very hard instalation process? I've helped my buddy lifting his jeep, so i have some knowledge of this... but pretty much an amiture when it comes to this. you input is well appriaciated thanks a lot!! I'm sorry if there is already a thread like this. I looked and found many on TT'S, but not a whole lot on n/a. please add link for thread if this is already out there. thanks |

you cannot use tien s tech springs, yes they will fit but they are not ment for an n/a.. you need to look at eibach springs, they are the only ones around that still make them for the n/a... it took me 30 min. to lower my front.. you will need to go to the nearest auto store and rent a pair of spring compressors... there are three bolts on the top of the strut in the engine bay and two bolts on the bottom connected to the control arm .. take the top ones off first, then the bottom.... then slide the whole component out.. put the springs compressor on the springs tighten them down till you think you are safe/ 3-4 inches.. then take off the bolt on the top of the struts.. compress the new spring and put it on the strut, then put the bolt back on and BWAMMMM you just finished one corner of your car..

The blue stealth in my sig is lowered on Intrax. Ive seen cars lowered with Eibach springs and was not impressed. My buddy put them on his 94 3000GT base and the ride hight barely changed.
I'm happy with my Intrax, but had to get adjustable arms for the camber and toe.

from what I've read, I'd do the struts while you're in there. so to make this clear, if I want to install a set of eibach springs and new struts, this is something I CAN do myself with basic mechanical knowledge?
So i dont need to pay a shop to do this? |
