The bolt pattern is correct, 17's are the stock 1st gen size, although most would agree 18", or poss 19" would be the size to upgrade to, with 8.5 or 9" width. You need to know what the offset (ET) is also. Normally, offsets of 35 - 40 are good for the TT's, however rim design can vary and cause caliper clash, so have the seller make sure they will work on your car before buying. If interested in wheel info - Car Bibles: Everything you need to know about wheels, tyres and tyre markings.. Good Luck - it's quite a trek shopping for wheels - so many models, yet only so many will fit 3S TT's. Also, think about the look you'd like to achieve.

At 27mm offset, they will stick out approximately 14mm imo. Some people don't mind if they protrude beyond the fenders - more aggressive look, however, as close as possible to even is my preference. Don't care for sand blasting my fenders as the tires pick it up, as well as H20 spraying up roostertail fashion. The caliper question still needs to be answered by the vendor, or manufacturer of the specific rim. If they say yes the calipers will clear, then they should take them back - return shipping paid if they don't.
