Default brake pads what kind

What pads are the best for all around driving, reg asbestos pads, semi metallic, or ceramic, I was leaning towards the ceramic but was told they can do a number on the rotors, plus there’s a little more pedal effort in stopping.

If you have a non turbo, I HIGHLY recomend Axxis Ultimate Pads, I had them on my non turbo with crossdrilled and slotted rotors, and they were a great setup.

I'm leaning towards Axxis Ult or the hawk ceramics. Check out Nopi they have the axxis on sale right now for $41 shipped.

I have Hawk HPS on the VR-4, they work fine but generate a decent amount of brakedust.

The warranty on brakepads is only if they are defective in some way. That does not include regular wear (trust me I have tried many times to return regular worn pads). Most companies (Hawk, EBC, Bendix, etc.) will back there pads for defects regardless of the warranty they claim to give you.
