Default 94 vr4 stock offset

Just a quick question, what is the offset on the stock 94 vr4 rims?

What kind of problems would I run into if I put a rim with a 40 offset on a 94 vr4? It is a 17x8.5 but just with a 40 offset(would I need to use spacer).

40 offset wheels will fit a VR aas long as the wheel choice has enough brake clearance

No thats not what I am saying, what I am saying is you are out of stock of the 17's from $189, the other 17's you offer are $325. Thats a big difference in price and I didn't want to spend that much more.

A lower offset means that the wheel hub is further in relative to the outside edge of the wheel. In other words, the lower the positive offset, the farther out the wheel moves. So, in theory, those +40mm offset wheels are fine. But there are other things to consider; brake caliper clearance (often dictated by hub shape) is first among them, as Luke said.
