I'm planning on doing the same someday soon as well.

I have Goodridge SS lines, but I thought I heard you may need the 2G longer rubber lines from the caliper if you plan on using the stock lines. I cannot confirm this though.

Anyone? Fry? Bueller? Anyone?

SJ ,just did the conversion from Gen 1 to Gen 2 F&R . I used Goodridge SS lines and all 4 corners were fine on length . So no you do not need longer lines on the rear . You must trim the splash shield to accomodate the larger rear rotor . I used Carbotech slotted rotors and pads ,Ax-6 on the front and Bobcats on the rear . Also I had to shim the rear caliper to center it to the rotor . You will not regret it . The difference is very noticeable .My personal preference is ATE blue or gold brake fluid but that is up to you . Good luck . Steve

would it throw off any performance with just doing the rear?

We need Phil from SCE to jump in here, but I would say your language may be off -- it will certainly improve performance, but, it *may* offset the balance of the factory brake bias setting, which we cannot adjust.

Now, will it make a huge difference if it's just a daily driver? I can't answer that. However, I bet I would be able to feel it at the track.

I'd recommend you do them both at the same time.
