UPDATE... i have recently taken off my IAC to clean it.. that didn't work.. and i checked my TPS that seems to be running 100%.. it was a tiny bit off, but not to make my engine run like it does.. its adjusted right now.. i called my mechanic today and told me to take carb cleaner and spray it, since i sprayed brake cleaner last time.. and to check if it revs anywhere.. well it did when i sprayed it around the TB.. and come to notice it, when i took it off to take off the IAC, the gasket was caked onto the intake and looked fucked up, but i didn't think anything of it at the time, cause i was more focused on the IAC.. annnnddd since a battery wasn't connected to it (needs a new one).. the computer MIGHT have forgotten how to idle properly, so yea i have a combination of problems here.. i have been working sooo hard to narrow down possible problems, O2, MAF, wiring, IAC, TPS.. i also found that there is also corrosion in one of my sparkplug wires at the end that doesn't plug into the sparkplug.. (forget the name) hah sorry.. i will be buying 10.2mm wires, and i have new sparkplugs ready to put in.. i desperately hope this all fixes the problem.. i reaaalllyyy wanna drive it this summer haha

You are the sort of poster that is welcome... you had a problem, were courteous and tracked your progress so others can learn. This encourages others, who do have the experience and knowledge, to help you.

This is the way it used to be on this forum until a couple of years ago.

Maybe your thread can serve as an example to those posters that act as if they are entitled to free technical assistance.

Good luck

thank you very much, im still kind of new to working on cars.. i know a LOT more now than last year, thats for sure. I come on here because you all have 3S cars, and you have probably experienced them before.. i just bought my 92 Stealth last may 15th to be exact.. so im still kinda new to this stuff.. but ya i will keep posting updates.. i just bought a throttle body gasket for 5 bucks hah, will install that tomorrow, and we'll see how she is.. i still have to buy a battery so i can drive it and let the computer relearn the engines idle, which wont be fun.. it had a quarter tank of gas when put it in the garage for winter, and now its half to empty haha.. shitty.. anyways thanks for the help, i will keep you all posted.

ok.. soooo i fixed the vaccum leak, it runs a little better.. but it STILL runs like complete shit.. could it be my engine's timing? i dont know, im calling my mechanic on monday to take it to them.. i've done all i can, theres nothing else i could possibly do, i think anyways.. im gonna keep researching, but for now thats where my mind stays.. i've checked my O2 sensor, my IAC, my Throttle Positioning sensor, fixed a small vaccum leak, my MAF sensor, the MAF sensor wiring.. anyone else have anything to say to help me? Thanks..

ok sooo i haven't really given up yet totally.. i dont really wanna spend my insurance downpayment money on a tow and labour fees.. my engine STILL runs like crap, anddd i am going to investigate the rattle today.. i had my bestfriend's dad, who i've known since i was 4yrs old, take a look at my car, he has been working on cars his whole life, restored a dodge dart for himself.. anyways, he was gonna say turn the car on until i told him about the rattle/knocking sound i've been hearing in the front valve cover.. i told him i might have dropped a washer in there or w/e, which i might have, i dont know.. but im really hoping its not my camshaft.. im really pushing for this car to be on the road for this summer so i can pick up babes haha.. my car needs a lot of work, i was going to buy a new engine in the winter and drop it in... so if its my camshaft that mysteriously started to knock after i took my intake off, then im just gonna cancel summer time for my car and buy the new engine now from JDM, rebuild it, then put it in... i dont wanna give up on it because i wanna gain as much automotive experience as i can, and this is a good example.. but i can't figure out whats wrong, its driving me up the wall.. could it be my ignition coil? in one of them, there is corrosion starting to happen on the one sparkplug wire, with dust of some sort in the coil part.. all the wire ends are gold/copper colour, and the affected one is like a grey colour.. i put a new throttle body gasket in, that leak is gone, my TPS is fine, my IAC is clean, intake is bolted down tight, plugs are all in.. MAF and wiring for MAF is fine.. my O2 looks fairly new.. i dont know what else! please help me with this people.. i want my car on the road by next week or the week after.. and right now im in a hole. can anyone help me? thanks!

You replaced the rear valve cover gasket but you do not know what the throttle body is...hehe
