welllllll, i started my car about 3 weeks ago, it ran fine, perfect.. and i took off the intake, not all of it, it was still connected to the device that revs the engine (Dont know what thats called lol).. and i put a new rear valve gasket in, and put everything back together.. and nowww i just finished everything today, and i started it while boosted, and it ran like complete shit, theres a rattle in the engine, and it chugged, the engine shook a bit, and it stalled while boosted while with another car! i dont understand, i am very crushed by this so does anyone know what it might be?.. my friend said it might be a vacuum leak but i dont know where to look for that?... anyways i just wondered if anyone could answer that, because im thinking of taking it to a mechanic next week to fix everything up cause im allmost fed up with it lol.. thanks!

MAS is connected, the wiring seems to be intact.. although when i put my head to the intake i hear what seems to be air sounds like its leaking out of some place.. i dont know.. i will try taking it apart again today and putting it back on.. what would explain the disturbing rattling though? it never happened the last time i started it up? only when i took off the intake and put it back on :S

Do this while the engine is cold.
Then un-connect every plug and try to verify if you plugged them all in correctly.Check all of your vacuum hoses as well. May be your TPS. I've had a scary story with that sensor. |

damn.. talk about spreading doom and gloom haha...
check to make sure you tightened everything down.. you've more than likely got a boost leak. are you popping a check engine light? did you replace the plenum gasket?

well, heres an update... i found that i didn't have a plug plugged in thats right under the air intake pipe, thought that would do something, and it didn't.. and i took the covering off the MAF sensor wiring, only to find its been splitted twice.. theres blue clamp connectors everywhere.. sooo i have to rewire that, and see if that does anything.. ppl have told me it was an intake leak, theres no leaks in the intake 100% sure.. everything is pluggedd in.. ppl told me it was a vaccum leak, and there are none, 100% sure.. and a person told me it might be my O2 sensor, but theres no engine light on and it looks brand new.. and some one told me it might be my MAF sensor, but i had it running 3 weeks ago driving it around the block and it was running close to 100% (needs new sparkplugs, but still drivable).. and i took my intake off.. first thing i unplugged was my MAF sensor.. so hopefully that is it.. if not i have no idea what has happened.. i am soooooooooo lost.. almost about to give up and let a mechanic have the headaches im having.. does anyone wanna give advice or something or give their 2 cents on the situation? thanks!

all i did to remove the intake was unplug 4 plugs, detached 2 vaccum hoses, my hose for my intake pipe, and the bolts and i pulled it off.. i didn't disconnect any valves or whatever.. i dunno my friend who owned it last said it might be the MAF sensor.. so he has a couple spare ones, cause it died on him too at one point.. or it might be something in the ECU, fuse or relay iunno.. anyone else wanna say what they think? im open to everyones thoughts.. Thanks!
