I find that hard to believe unless he was running higher than 150 shot, or he didn't have a proper tune. I mean yes I can understand if he didn't set the tune up and was running very lean any extra type of boost will cause detonation with not enough fuel. But our motors don't need timing changes on anything less than 150 with enough fuel for the 10:1 N/A, I've run 125 on mine without any prior timing changes.

Nitrous will be added to the mod list here before to long. I hope to have my set up here within the month. I have a sohc and the mods will be 3sx headers, 100shot NX Kit with WOT switch, single out 3in exhaust and some other small stuff here and there. should be a fun car to play around with cant wait. will post up some vids as well when shes done.

I'm thinking about adding a 50 shot for my NA someday... Idk though... I'm going to do alot more research before I spend the money and do it.

I was in the car when it happened.

It had an AEM wideband. car was running fine on boost alone.

We then hooked up a 50 shot to it. (said 32 on the pill)

sprayed it, the car HAULED ASSSSS!!!!!

then when we let off it engine started sounding like a helicopter and bunch of smoke behind us.

When we got back home ran a compression test on it, noting in piston 3. Tore it down the next day and it had melted piston 3.

what caused it? a faulty crank angle sensor, kept changing the timing. One minute tooo advanced next too retarded.

car was running rich the entire time.

Just did a rebuild on my N/A at a local speed shop, the shop owner is going to install a 150 shot, and he says it will not void the 3 year, unlimited mileage warranty he gave on the motor. )

With a shot that big I hope he's going direct port with a progressive controller.

So what is the "list" for the perfect baby steps/beginner N20 kit?

Like gauges, what type of shot, how extreme of a kit, etc. I'd like to get one in the future but i'd like to do it right now go all out and lose an engine.
