Well i am having the same problem with mine and all that i have come up with is my maf might be bad but that is just a gess.

sorry to write you. my car is starting, then shutting down after a few seconds. looking for siliar problems on here you said to someone...maybe the MAS was unplugged during a battery change.
what is that and where is it? my email is chriswojton@hotmail.com i you want to write there. i also live in PA, worked at williamsport hospital in 1999! |

Hi there, sounds like from you description it is cutting out because it is too rick. It could be a number of things so let's start a list of things for you to check. Start with the simple thinks are all the air intake pipes and hoses in good condition and correctly connected. Is the return line for the fuel back to the tank free. Check the fuel pump connections and the fuel pressure. If both are OK have a look at the idling stepper motor, make sure the throttle body is clean and that all the connections check out.
Most problems do not require the replacement of expensive components like the mas Do you have a manual for your car so that you know the correct readings and settings? |
