to fix the idle erratic problem, replace the Isle air controller -there r articles here to show you where that is and how to do it. I bought a used 1 from E bay and now my idle is back to normal. The air adjust screw is for fine tune the idle only-it takes about 1 hour the most to do the IAC replacement.
