Default Rislone Results....for Lifter Tick

Hey Guys, I just bought the stuff for my oil change...

The Car:
1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL ...Cat Removed, K&N Air Filter. Check Sig for Pic

The Supplies:

Oil Castrol GTX 5w-30 Conventional (Best?)

Rislone

Napa Gold Filter

I Will be putting this in my car in a few hours and I will post my results once I get home.. I am going on a 80 mile trip today and If my lifter tick is quieted or whatever else changes. I will let you know

This is a good mix to quiet a tick from reading several threads.

How long are you supposed to keep Rislone in? I suggest you be very carefull with your RPM's either way. That stuff alters its viscosity, so good luck.

The bottle says that it can be used for the full length between oil changes. I just did the oil change and I am leaving on the trip right now. Expect my post around 11pm. I will explain my results the best I can.

yea but lifters are only 1mm bore not big enough, the only way to get read of the tick is boring out the stock lifters or getting 3rd Gen lifters

Ive been doing my method for 3 years now. I have yet to have it not work. Trust me it will clean. I cannot guarantee that it will work on everyone's, but i suggest that everyone try it for themselves.

Results:

Immediately after starting the car the car was still ticking, I let it idle for around 5 minutes to warm up and the ticking was slowly going away.
I then drove the car at about 35mph for 3 miles. The tick was gone at this time. Went about 10 miles at 60mph, stopped at a light....WITH A SLIGHT TICK

Washed the car by hand once home, started it while getting ready to leave, no tick......On the way to my destination which was 50 miles from my home I drive 82mph the whole way, with one spurt up to 105mph. The car seemed to be running a little better, but that was just a butt dyno. I did use less fuel although and throttle responce was improved....Keep in mind mine is a 5 spd sl so in 5th gear at 82mpg i was at about 3100 rpms or that area the whole time. I stopped at the intersection at my location, with ......a slight tick.

Got to my destination.....slight tick....

Just went out and started it....when it was cold, which was when I always ticked the worst and ...no tick?

Does this take time to clean the lifters? I have the 99 lifters but im scared to take it to a dealer and I am scared to do it myself. I dont know who to trust thats not going to charge $500.

I will keep updating with daily results so we can have a rislone thread to go to.

Any suggestions are welcome and ALL will be done
