I hope you guys can find two more people for this list. This would be a great asset to the DOHC guys looking for a more reliable way to go FI.

Question for Ripp ... Since we don't know how long it will take for 2 other people to join the list, could 4 other people pay 500 extra dollars to get the total to $9,000?

Supercharged more reliable than a TT conversion using OEM parts? hahaha

Not as fast either.

Yes it could turn out being more reliable, as the SC will be designed for the 10:1 compression ration of the N/A engine, where as the TT components were designed for the 8:1(or is it 8.5:1 I do not remember) compression of the VR-4/TT's

It may be reliable is the sense that it uses new (possibly warrantied) parts, tuned/designed for the small differences between the NA and TT engine..... but what the hell do I know

There will also be less user error. It runs from a pully and all the fuel maps are controlled by a black box, piggy backed onto the ECU. We won't be playing with an AFC and driving our boost up to insane levels that will put the rest of the engine at risk. Just bolt on and drive away (a lot faster than stock!). I haven't a clue how to tune, so I feel a lot more comfortable with this SC kit.

OK guys this is the verdict. After this meetings morning with Ross (Owner of RIPP Modifications) we have decided that all that is required is 1 more prototyper. After that the last 1000 dollars can be given by any of the 8 investors and we can finally begin. So far 2 people have deposited 1500 dollars and the remaining 5 have deposited 1000.

I've sent off some email inquiries, so we'll see if I get any response. One of the 3 emails was returned as undeliverable, so I think we can forget about Todd.
