I think he already stated that gains will be in excess of 100whp.

Funny how when the SOHC kit came about all the DOHC guys cried about "can't wait for the DOHC one" or "damn if this kit was for a DOHC I'd be all over it"

Now not one person is on the list. Yes I know it costs alot of money, blah blah blah. Just makes me laugh at all those quick to discuss commitment and not having funds to follow through. Keep quiet next time.

You're wrong, of course. If the kit was available today, I would drive up to Staten Island tomorrow with $4500 cash in hand. I'm not sure I understand your intent?

I was already to go on the list and then this morning I was told I was being downsized from my job of the last 10 years.
I hope this becomes a reality so I can buy the kit when I get back on my feet.

Relax. The post has been here just a few days. I would be willing to bet that 50% of the DOHC owners on this board don't know it has been green flagged to be developed, and thinking on a larger scale, the DOHC owners on this board only represent a very small percentage of possible kits that might be sold in the future by RIPP. I am ready to put a downpayment pending a few details such as a timeframe of when it will be done (in another words when I need the remaining 2+G), as well as how much the headers will cost and the ballpark cost of optional supporting mods.

Thanks,

Ed

I was one of the guys wanting this kit to be made but lately i've been having some problems with my transmission.... so... I don't think any added power would help my transmission right now, when these issues are resolved we'll see but my bank account is getting thinner than I'd like....

It looks like there are a lot of interested people, just that nobody has the money right now. Granted, we were caught by suprise with this announcement. It will probably need a little bit of time to attract more people.

Heck, I know I'd buy one to go on with my rebuild if I had the money, but why talk about something that isn't going to happen now, right?

To those making comments about the list, I wouldn't say too much. Things like this take time to build up, especially for the cost of the kit.

Mitsubishi Re: RIPPMODS NO BS Supercharger Group sign in

I plan on rebuilding my 3000 GT this spring or summer and that DOHC supercharger kit is definately something I want to put on it.
I have a new reman. ATX ...if I get that shiftkit, upgraded Torque converter, tranny cooler..will my trans be able to handle the extra power without dying prematurely?

I just wanna plan this wisely..cuz I will be spending a LOT of $$ doing this project
I have aprox 134K on my engine...I want to either get a new shortbock or a reman. shortblock from Jasper. which would be the better choice.
Jasper has a 75Kmi warranty...but adding the SC will prob void it..same as with Mitsu..
I think the engine will last ok...it still runs good
the reason I want to replace it..is 1)I want to start out witha fresh engine to get all the power that I am paying for.. and 2) it has been burning some oil..about 1/2 qt between oil changes...not bad for the mileage..

any opinions?
