Question Removing seatbelt holder?

Ok, just trying to figure out how to remove the seat belt holder at the top of the seat by the headrest. Is there a way to take it off? or must it be cut? thanks.

I found out how it works. There is a retainer clip half way down the shaft of the seatbelt holder that needs to be pushed away, before the holder could be pulled out... Every source I found stated that that needs to be done from the inside of the seat (after removing the covers), but I did it from the top. I just pushed the fabric down, at the spot of the hole where the holder shaft goes, until the retainer clip showed and then I pushed it toward the headrest to unlock the holder's shaft and it freely came out.

Why would you remove the seat belt holder? Won't you still be left with an ugly gash in the leather? Hmmm
