Am I the only one that thinks the A/C clutch (when A/C is on) could disturb the delicate balance of IDLE speed? Cause that is one of my problems I'm hoping to resolve in all this. I know the A/C clutch (hopefully thats all) needs to be replaced cause the A/C light has blinked before because the A/C wasn't engaging when it was switched on and every time when I'm idle it drags the IDLE waaay down almost till it kills.

Well, hate to disappoint, but this revival is going slow just like it seems everythng else does. I've had a number of projects popup that got in the way, but so far I'm restarting her every few days to keep the battery good. I guess my A/C clutch question was stupid. LOL
Umm... if I hear my tires making stretchy rubber sounds as I pull slowly in and out of my driveway do you think the tires are bad? They were sitting there in the elements for about 9 months so far not in use.

Well tabasco, if you haven't already go ahead and sign-up on our member page at www.no3s.com. Whenever I get my baby back on the road I do plan on starting up some meets and if my anal self can pick a good forum the site will have that too in the next month or so.
Update on the revival - Today I made an attempt at starting the bulk of the repairs. Where would that put us? YEAP, just past the NEW BATTERY I installed some weeks back. Work has been kicking my ass and I've not had much energy or time (even on the weekends) to stick to this. Today's attempt was flawed from the beginning cause I have not slept yet. So at around noon with no sleep and Double Rockstar in my stomach I started fiddling in the garage. I have a compressor which I hadn't opened in over a year along with all my other parts waiting to be put on the car so naturally opening the compressor and then playing with it filling up air in all 4 of our cars here, setting up a nice new workstation in the garage, moving boxes around, cleaning stupid packing PEANUTS off of one of the air compressors I bought..... we're 4 hours later. I have 2 air compressors if I didn't already say that because the 1st one I received from someone on this board has a severely dented clutch wheel. I surmise it happened during shipping because some of the packing peanut is actually wedged between where the metal comes together at the bend point. I plan to take it off and try and get it back in place, but it may be a lost cause. Still 4 hours later I could not see myself starting to take off the wheel and do all that needs to be done and sweating in the 90 degree heat I decided to close up shop and try for another day. At least i'm setup now and with the new space in the garage working in there (on a day I DO get sleep) is going to be awesome. I'll be attacking the A/C first, then the brakes as I've decided.

So tonight is the night. I've piddled or pittled... lol .... enough. I've actually got nothing else to do the rest of the year, but get myself in shape and get my baby (3000GT) in shape. Part of the reason I have stopped working for the rest of this year is so I can focus on the two. Now if thats not committment I don't know what is. This revival in many sorts is long overdue and I owe it to myself as I have for years to do so. Tonight I'm going to attempt the brakes. Here I go. I'm sure I'll need ya'lls help at some point here and there.

Well its almost 3 hours later and I'm only just now setup having converted the garage from normal garage for car storage to workshop. I did stop and cut some wood though earlier to help me mount a window unit a/c in the garage window because even at night is constant sweating in there while I'm not even doing anything, though I'll mount the a/c unit tomorrow in the light due to the plague of bugs that come out here at night.
I'm about to lift the car now. I want to use my new compressor to take the wheels off making accessing the brakes easier. I just realized as I was taking inventory of all the stuff I've collected over the past 2 years that I have purchased what I need to rebuild my calipers so I think I'm going to do that too. The brakes should feel very loved when I'm done. It is tempting though while I'm doing all this to convert to the 1G TT Brake Setup cause I have that sitting there too. Still I think I shouldn't at this time cause I'd rather get the brakes working properly in their native configuration before adding more to the problem.

Well the car is up on jack stands at least. I got the a/c installed today and that took longer than I wanted it to. Come to find out now that I'm lacking a couple sockets I need for the impact wrench, so off to the pawn shop tomorrow.

Well if it isn't bad enough that I have to fix the car itself, I had to stop to fix a TOOL earlier. Unbelievable to me the LOCK LUG broke as I was removing the first wheel. The squiggly part inside the lock lug that is custom for the lug to lock in place with the one on the wheel CAME OFF as I was trying to knock the lug loose. I had thought this lock lug was completely all welded together somehow, but apparently the custom locking part is just tight-fitted into the generic lug. Anyway, I found a rather large and heavy pipe wrench and banged it back in place ruining a small 3/8" driver as I did so. Once I got it far enough in I put it on the wheel and knocked it the rest of the way back together with a rubber hammer while hoping I wouldn't ruin the lug/stud on the wheel. Well it WORKED thank God cause I would've had to get another one from Mitsu to continue which would've postponed servicing my car another 2 weeks since I'm going out of town soon.
Car is up on all 4 jacks again with wheels off ! HOORRAAY... now for some brakes.
*Unfortunate discovery during removing the wheels: Apparently I didn't buy an impact gun with enough emph. It didn't say so on the box, but my impact gun only goes to 90psi max. The compressor is 120psi max. The gun would not remove ANY of the lugs so I had to loosen them all. To save a LIL time I still used the gun to remove them all after they were loose, but I think at some point I'm going to get a beefier gun.
Does anyone know what the turning knob at the bottom of the impact gun does? It has a 1-2-3-4 on it. I've used impact guns before, but don't remember what that does.
