Default o2 sensor plug clip - Oxygen Sensor plug

I'm having a hard time getting the o2 plug down from under the car. I see the black clip, but it seems like it doesnt want to give me any slack.
I'm afraid if I unclip the sensor, the other half will get lost up in the car somewhere.

Is there any access to the plug from inside the car?

PS, this is my first 3kgt.
