How does it feel right now? Is it a drastic improvement or is it just a eh it feels a little peppier kinda thing? I was SERIOUSLY considering this swap if it had some decent returns...

you are using a 3.0 crank in a 3.5 liter block??? don't think that is possible seeing as the 3.5 liters mains (64mm) are larger in diameter then a 3.0 liters crank (60mm)?

that would be one hell of an over sized bearing

Maybe he means his crank pulley was damaged in shipping and he's using a 3.0L crank pulley. Using the crank dosen't make sense to me either.

Also will i need a 6-speed clutch or can i use my 5-speed clutch?
- Your questions are kinda funny (not flaming you).

-You will need to swap to a 6 speeds flywheel, clutch, pressure plate
-6 speed shifter cables
-welded VCU
-output shaft blocker
-Search and find out which axles you will need

The harness should be fine for the reverse light switch. It's minor wiring if it's differant (I've only done AWD 5 speeds). It's not as easy as just swapping transmissions while the motor is out. And it does get a little pricey. I recommend to alot of my friends to keep there FWD tranny if the car is not a high powered FWD or daily driver. The AWD clutch parts tend to get expensive compared to FWD. The clutch pedal is murder compared to FWD. It does grab very nicely, but it's not worth it IMO unless you plan on making over 400whp.

My question is this OK
To get 3000GT Headers (S/S) brought over from the US Inc postage is about $600AU, which is ok.
Ive been qouted $1000AU for custom extractors for this engine.
Which means, if i buy them from the US and get them shipped over i should have a $400 clearance to get them modified.

What i need to know is, what EXACTLY needs to be modified in the 3L DOHC headers in order for them to fit a 3.5L? is it alot of work? Will it be more then $400 of work is my main one...

please get back to me ASAP!

Unless im mistaken, they wouldnt need any modification other than a little bit of an extention between the rear and front header connection under the engine.

like this

The bottom one has some spacers, to compensate for the larger deck height.

eBay Motors: OBX Exhaust Header 91-95 Mitsubishi 3000GT Stealth DOHC (item 370046447362 end time May-03-08 10:43:36 PDT)
, i would need them to be "extended"? and thats it?

From what i know yes, the cylinder heads on both cars are very similar, So the exhaust ports are generally in the same place, you may have to knock them around a bit, but in the long run you most likely wont have to spend much money if any on this.

Cheers mate.
Sort of hard gathering this info when your the only one in the country doing it:P
the heads are the same as 3000GT ones, so thats ok, the only thing i was concerned about was the angle of the V etc since it was indeed higher.
Cheers anyway for that advice, but if anyone else has something to share about it please do...
i wont be buying these for about a fortnight
