Idle Surge and check engine light???
Could use some help here. First off the car is a 92 stealth base. For a few months now i have been having problems with the idle surging when Im driving. It's been anywhere from 600-1800 rpm. I talked to a friend and we thought it might be the IAC. We cleaned it and after about 2 days the problem came back only now the idle only jumps to about 1500 at the worst.
But now for the last week or two the check engine light has been coming on everytime the idle surges. As soon as the idle goes back to normal the light goes off. The car seems to be running fine other than a little lifter tick and Im not sure whats wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Seafoam it, change plugs, potentially consider getting a new ISC/IAC (or get it from one of the many partouts going on now).
