Any time. Gutting your cat is most definitely illegal in California. That's not what I was getting at though. Illegal or not, you're likely going to need a functioning main cat to pass the smog inspection every 2 years for registration.

So did darick well he used an old jack handle to break some of the bigger stuff the pry bar would slip around but it takes about a half an hour to do.

car seems to pull harder, it really chirps the tires hard from first to second now (automatic)

Most people just throw their main cat back on during inspections and everything is fine. I mean we're talking about a testpipe for $40 shipped here...if you can't afford that for a mod you shouldn't be touching your car.

When we had our maximal testpipe on the 5spd it was a nice piece, good welds. I just didn't care for the sound it put out. we should be ordering the maximal catback soon (darick should have kept the catback he had)
