Default Engine differences Auto vs manual tranny

We spun a bearing in our Chump Car Mitusubishi 3000GT which had a 91 engine with manual tranny in it. We were able to get a JDM replacement and got the "newer" engine in the car. The only issue was the wiring harness that came with the engine didn't match exactly. The engine is from a car that had an automatic, so we are assuming the harness issue was because of that. We had an extra harness laying around so we just swithced harnesses and the engine seems to run good although we have road tested it yet.

So here's the question, Are there any internal differences in the auto tranny engines versus the manual tranny engines that we need to know about such as camshafts? We are using the ECU out of a 94 that matches the cam angle sensors for this engine. Just wondering if we need to switch camshafts or if we are good to go as is.

No differance what so ever. It's all the same. Other the the issue of 1st gen or 2nd gen for the CAS. Just install the CAS from the first gen head to the 2nd gen and run 1st gen harness. Bottom line, motors ,cams and such all the same.
