Most common reason for leaks. Gasket surfaces have be free of all "foreign material."

But I do hate that you might have to tear it all apart again!

I can see it when it's running, and it's coming out from that damn stud, I'm almost positive! I have no idea what else it could be, as it can't be the head gasket because it's below where I see a water track mark. I'm going to get back there, pull that nut on the stud and see if the stud is loose in the head casting. We'll see how it goes.

If it's a cracked head I will be extremely unhappy, considering the guy I bought the car from just had them rebuilt...

I'm busy for the next few days though, and probably won't get around to diagnosing the problem any further.

Anyone know where I can find a set of heads for a decent price? New or Used is fine, but just in case that ends up being the case I may as well start looking...l

bad water pump?

i was leaking coolant like a bitch it got worse and worse.. then i saw shit boiling in the middle i was scared thinking i blew a head gasket.

turned out to be a bad water pump.. it was a bitch to change! only because all the shit you have to take off and tiny space you have to work, my hands are cut up haha.

i figured fuck it since my fucking crank shaft pulley ripped and i JB welded it so i replaced that too

check that out. just a suggestion. oh and LOCK YOUR CAM GEARS/SPROCKETS BEFORE TAKING OFF TIMING BELT... i swear my timing is off but barely noticable

dumb question here.. but can you change the head gasket only and not require to do anything else? i had a few buddies doing it on there civics by just changing the head gasket and putting it back together. i thought once you take off whatever is require to get to the gasket, it's pretty much a rebuilt? not sure if i stated that right. lol.

Sure you can just pull the head, slap in a new gasket, and be on your way...
