Exclamation Changing out interior console light

One of my lights behind the climate control switches (the fan control kob) is burned out and I was wondering what's the best way to take it out and change the bulb. I looked around and it doesn't look like there is an easy way to remove the whole plastic piece. Does anyone know what the trick is or a website that shows step by step?

the only way to replace the bulbs behind the heater control knobs is to take the whole dash off?
Good grief! Is there a way to simply change the bulb out without taking the entire dash off?
By the way, I have a 1996 3000GT, non-turbo.

I'm bumping this, because I have the same problem. And the topic kind of got forgotten. Isn't there and easier way to get to the lights without ripping the whole interior out???
