Was it the cylinder furthest away from the oil pump on the right?

Was it the cylinder with the O marked in my goofy little diagram?
the car has 145,000 miles and i've always used mobil 1 fully synthetic since i've owned it and changed the oil every 3000 miles.

That's what I suspected, the two furthest away from the oil pump. Were you high revving your engine a lot? There's nothing implicitly wrong with that since the engine was designed to rev that high, but with a 145k old oil pump, oil starvation comes to mind.

Good luck with the rebuild and keep us posted. Don't forget a new oil pump!!!

Well my oil pan was dented and i guess i never really payed any attention to it, and when i got it off, i noticed that the pickup screen was bent up a little bit.

I'm actually ganna probably end up fixing it and selling it because i just got a 06' cobalt ss/sc..... and save up some money until i can afford a vr4, the 3s platform is by far my favorite....

will keep updated on my rebuild.

yeah keep us posted

It's amazing how a dent in the oil pan can destroy an engine. Crazy
