Default 300Hp N/A

I was wondering what else would I need to reach 300Hp at the crank before going with nitrous. I have OBX long headers, test pipe, 2 1/2 inch borla exhaust, intake, fidanza flywheel, 3sx stock size pulley, stage 3 racing clutch, MSD cables, Iridium plugs, and a 3.5L with about 55k miles on it.

I plan to get adjustable cam gears, racing intake manifold and LSD insert but don't know if all that would get me closer to the 300Hp at the crank. After reaching my goal, I would like to add a 75 shot of nitrous and see what I ran in the 1/4 mile.

I've never run my car in the 1/4 mile nor have I dyno it, I would like to do more shit to it before actually running and dynoing.

75 wet shot on that 3.5L, mmmh that be a dream with supporting mods, that is quiet a powerful N/A motor you'll have.

I'd say you could be close to 350hp to the crank with 75-100 shot and the mods you have now.

my goal is 13.999 with the 3.5L . to get closer to your goal a few more gains might come in porting the heads a bit, maybe some cams. but if you are running the stock ECU like i am then, like i will be, you should get some sort of air/ feul controller. the stock ECU runs the 3.5 too rich. you can smell it on start up. and you can feel it at WOT. leaner is meaner, just like there is no replacement for displacement. WOOT to the (bigger) NA's lol

How about sending the ECU to Jet Performance so they can reprogram it, do you think that can work or is there a cheaper way to control the air/fuel ratio?

I completely understand the drive to want to have a 6g72 pushed to its limits while still keeping it NA, but just think about how much money you would save if you bought a 320hp VR4.
Your bone stock vr4 would have the same power as your NA with GOBBLES of money poured into it. Lots of engine work.

On the bright side, i think its possible if sunmind could make his sohc put out ~240-250 crank hp which is about an 80 horsepower gain. But lots and lots of work went into it and the internals

^Yeah. +2cylinders, turbo, two turbos, or supercharger.

This kind of stuff reminds me of my friend who dumped 3 or 4 grand in performence mods into his super clean 98 civic ex coupe, keeping it NA, yet its only slightly faster than my practically stock sohc
... totally should have slapped a little turbo on their using the same budget, and have a high 13 second car than a high 14

It's vierd that VR4 owners have not jumped on this....

I think it would be awesome, even though you wont have the turbos it would be cool to have an all motor 300HP+ 3KGT

after that then u can slap on two DR800's, or more.....

Correct me if I am wrong, but he said it's a 3.5L. Would that not be the 6g74?
