Ignore the dumbass known as rynz3s. Hes full of himself and thinks he has something awesome.
Hey Ryan. Once I fix the trans on my SOHC, I will be running right with you in ET times. I ran a 15.5 with a shit 60 AND a broken diff. All this on a SOHC. That was BEFORE the 3sx pulley, ground wires, solids, coilovers, and LSD. So even more mods, better tires, and the LSD and yep, I'm right there. We can all see thru your bullshit so go sling it somewhere else.

222 is perfectly inline.
00/01 maxima. rated 222/217 and runs low 15s@92-94 weighing 3400 lbs. guess what a dohc 3s does at the track? about the same. if yours is slower you either suck as a driver or your engine is worn or neglicted.

i drove an 03 accord sedan 4-cyl at the strip to a 15.3 @ 90, so what does that mean? 160hp, 161tq. curb weight around 3050.

our cars are about right 12-15% drivetrain loss is typical for FWD. Our issue isnt power its weight. 222hp with 3200lbs and some of us are fat too, so on average 3400 - 3500lbs yeah mid 15s 1/4 mile times are to be expected.
Now consider 222 hp in something light like a civic propels them to 14s. Also as cars age and seals break down they lose power. Rings get old the valves dont seal as well as they used to. Compression gets lower overtime. Cats get partially blocked, or gets more restrictive. Dont be surprised if your car is making much less than the rated 222hp. An engine overhaul can do wonders for an engine. U'ld be surprized. This is why i think a 120K tune up should be one of the first mods if ur planning on making power out of these cars.

i find it very funny that people say the dohc is WAY overrated at 222 then say its actually 210, thats fuckin 12 hp, thats almost not noticeable, wtf, i find that funny, 12 hp, so with open exhaust, intake and a tune you gain over 12 hp and your over the "WAY OVERRATED" 222 crank. lol
