Default 222hp DOHC overrated?

So how much HP does the crank really have? How much HP is being laid down? I'm talking about DOHC 5spd.

I think 222hp is bullshit.

Damn that's a lot of drivetrain loss. The wheels are right under the engine so I would assume rwd cars actually have more drivetrain loss.

i've got a DOCH with 163k miles on it and if you don't got a fat guy sittin right next to you i think saying that this has anything shy of 222 hp is an insult.

i put a decal on my SOHC and that gave me at least +20hp at the wheels. J/k

actually by today's standards the 222 is avg. but putting 180-190 down after drive train loss doesn't surprise me at all. but that's just my opinion. no flames please.

well lets see 180-190/222= .83 which is about 17% loss sooooo
an SOHC with about 160hp (i think, i've heard 180 also, but 160 I've heard more) times .83= about 133hp at the wheels.

That's my theory what numbers did anyone else get?
