OK. First off Hello. I have used these forums a few timesin the past to figure out whats wrong with my car. THANKS for all the help. The thing is now I'm stuck. She has pitched a fit before, but has apparently figured it out on her own.
Current problem. The car will sit idling perfectly fine for hours in the drive way and will idle good on the road as long as the engine is cold, but if the car warms up whilst on the highway....... it equals stall at stop signs. I have pulled the TB and cleaned it really good. IAC removed cleaned in and out. I have cleaned the EGR and reset the ECM. I even removed the ECM and opened and checked for cap leaks (even though it shouldn't be a problem, its a 94+). The only thing that I have found outta whack is the 2 to 3 coil on the IAC. 1 to 2, 4 to 5, and 5 to 6 all read 29-30 ohms. 2 to 3 on the other hand reads about 83-86 ohms. My question is; Do you ya'll think that the IAC is the problem? The car runs fine cold and, once warm, idles fine so long as you're not driving. Just wanted a little input before droping $150 on a new IAC. P.S. - Don't know if this is normal but I also hear a 'kinda loud hissing (possible vacuum leak?) coming somewhere that is the dismal abyss of my engine compartment. The level of hissing changes if I turn the BISS. |

try a vacuum test. Or you can spray carb/TB cleaner around the area you think the noise is coming from and if your idle jumps then you will know there is a leak. Could you do me a favor? While doing that will you check to see if the oxygen sensor connector next to the front bank valve cover goes to the sensor before the pre-catalytic converter?

Thanks for the input. The O2 sensors are fine. I've had someone else say something about the MAS, so I guess I'll look into that. I'm back home and my dad knows a few folks who can help diagnose the problem. Thanks again.
